Nilan’s VP 18 range consists of heat recovery systems that ventilate your home, and not only heat the fresh, incoming air but also your sanitary hot water. In other words, you get a healthy indoor climate and a low heating bill in one single solution.

The hot, humid air is extracted from the kitchen, bathroom and utility room, thus removing dust particles, humidity and odours from the home. At the same time, the system recovers the heat from the extract air and uses it to heat your sanitary hot water and draw fresh, pre-heated inlet air into the rooms of the home.

Moreover, the VP 18 EK model provides heating of your home via connection to a water-filled central heating system. This enables you to cut back on heating expenses even further.


VP 18 EK

The VP 18 EK is for anyone who wants ventilation and highly efficient heat recovery, production of sanitary hot water, and comfort heating and cooling.

The system extracts hot, humid air from the home and at the same time removes dust particles, moisture and odours. Furthermore, the energy from the extract air is used to heat both sanitary hot water and incoming air. The system has a built-in 9 kW electric boiler, which can be connected to a small, water-filled underfloor heating system. The system’s cooling facility actively cools the incoming air to approximately 10 °C below the outside temperature.

When you buy a VP 18 EK system, you get a comfortable and healthy indoor climate and cost savíngs on your heating bill.

The VP 18 EK is a compact system that takes up no more space than an ordinary tall cupboard.

The VP 18 EK unit is designed for installation in utility or technical rooms and is suitable for homes with an air exchange requirement of up to 300 m3/h.

The unit combines ventilation with active heat recovery, production of hot water and comfort heating, in one compact, space-saving solution.

VP 18 EK is the obvious choice for homes with limited space, as it does not require more space than an ordinary wall cabinet. This should be compared to solutions with separate ventilation, heating and hot water installations, which can soon fill up a utility or technical room.

VP 18 EK is a VP 18 unit with a built in 9-kW electrical boiler that is connected to a waterborne central heating system, for electrical heating of the home.

One of the big advantages of the VP 18 EK is that it does not require pipes buried in the ground, or the installation of an air extraction heat pump, as in the case of traditional heat-pump based heating solutions.

An EM-box allows heat recovery from the air from the range hood and thereby helps to heat the supply air. The EM-box is equipped with a steel filter which efficiently cleans the range hood air of fat particles and thereby protects the system (expansion PCB required).


Pollen filter - ISO ePM1 65-80%

A pollen filter class ISO ePM1 65-80% can be fitted in the unit. The pollen filter is fitted with the ISO Coarse >90% (G4) plate filter.

CO2-sensor – CTS 602 control

With a CO2-sensor installed, the ventilation speed can be pre-programmed with CTS 602 to run at a higher ventilation steps when CO2 reaches high level in the extract air. CO2-level is programmable (expansion PCB required).

Heat output supply air

Heat output is the contribution to room heating added to the fresh air via VP 18 to the supply air.

The ventilation loss is the heat output that is lost without heat recovery at the given volume flow air.

The VP 18 Cooling EK is controlled using its CTS 602 operating panel, featuring a wide range of functions, e.g., menu-controlled operation, weekly programme settings, filter monitor with timer, fan speed adjustment, summer bypass (free cooling), post-heating element control, error messages etc.

The CTS 602 comes with factory settings, including a default setting which can be customised to operational requirements to achieve optimum operation and utilisation of the system.

The operating panel must be placed in a dry, frost-free location, at least 1.5 m above floor level and at least 0.5 m from any corner. Avoid placing the panel on an external wall or in areas in direct sunlight.
